Hi I'm new to the forum and to Sea Rays. Grew up on a 73 Slickcraft 204 though so I am not new to old boats. I am looking at a 78 or 79' (not sure the year) Sea Ray V- 197. It has a 305 in it with a Merc outdrive. I believe the tag on the motor said it was 197 hp. What can you guys tell me about this boat? The owner just had the motor completely rebuilt and the outdrive gone through (has receipts). The floor right in front of the motor needs to be replaced and has some spongy spots other places. The interior needs to be updated as well. Any advise on this boat? Like maybe what it's worth, what to look for when I'm inspecting it? Also where can I find the tag on the boat that tells me the year? Thanks in advance.
