Hey all, this is a great site and I’m excited to learn and hopefully give back!

I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on our first boat, a 2007 260 Sundeck. Engine has 310 hrs (5.7) with a Bravo 3 outdrive (DP). Minor cracks on the swim platform but nothing major, bottom of the hull is clean, never painted and no blemishes.

I plan to get a surveyor to check it before I purchase. The boat was just serviced this week from a mechanic, new plugs, wires, oils changed, shaft and gears re-lubed.

Zincs were ok (~30-40% used up).

Any other recommendations on things I should look for?

thanks!

From what I've read a boat with a bigger motor. I would most definitely do a sea trial to make sure you are comfortable with the performance. Bring the number of people that would normally have on the boat for your test. Good luck with the deal.

Correction, I believe it’s a 5.3.

5.3? Not sure of that being an available motor for that year.
Maybe a 5.7 or a 6.3?

Went back to look at it and it’s a 5.7
