Hi,
Just bought my first boat, a 84 Sea Ray project:smt100, and I'm not sure what I have. The Michigan title says it's 20'7", and it looks very similar to online pics of a 84 Monaco 207 open bow. But mine is a closed bow with a couple of hatches covering access to a few carpeted cubby holes, and a medallion on the outside transom says SRV 200. Also, the Mercruiser has a decal stating that it's a 228, and it's definitely an old Chevy engine with a big old hairy 4 bbl. Is that hp or cubes? I'm bettin on horses, but I don't KNOW that yet. And finally, how do I determine what outdrive is on the boat? Something tells me that's kind of important to know too. Unfortunately, the Sea Ray site archives doesn't offer an owners manual for download, so here I am before you with that "deer in the headlights" look.
I've been reading posts and replies for a couple weeks now, so I'm bracing for a couple of "go to hell" type replies that are evidently sent in jest. And that's ok because I find solace in the fact that I'm not in sole possession of a twisted sense of humor at CSR.
