Newbie 340 swim platform question

What are the brackets located to the rear of this platform utilized for? Thanks in advance!!

Can't really see. Could be a davit for a dinghy.

picture is pretty out of focus but they look like they might be "weaver dingy davit clamps. They clip on to side of dink and you tilt it up or storage.
