My name is Al, I live on Long Island and I am new to boating. Just bought a 2004 24' Sundancer, and am learning the ropes.

Married and have a 3 y.o. daughter, and we're using the boat for more family time. Looking forward to spending time on here and learning from the experts when I'm not on the boat.

East Northport. We got the slip with the boat at Britannia and are trying to take advantage of it as much as we can. It's all of 5 minutes from the house.

Thanks for the welcomes. I'll post some pics soon. I first have to resolve the overspeed alert so we can get out on it some more.

Congrats Al. I have a 240 Sundancer as well. I am in NJ. Just got it on the 28th of June but still not on the water yet. Hopefully will get it in the water next weekend. Good luck.

Old farts huh? Well, I know what you mean about pics. I'm part of a truck club and feel the same way. I'll get some on here shortly.

spikeitaudi - I grew-up in Howell and lived in the Atlantic Highlands for a short period. Heading to my Mom's tomorrow in fact. Good luck with your boat, hopefully you get it in the water soon.

we live 10 min from northport, but dock on the south shore. feel that there is more places to go and do.

I've heard that too. We got the slip with the boat, and will use it this summer to see if we like the North Shore. It's just so convenient. If we were on the South Shore, we would have no opportunity to use it during the week. My bro-in-law is in W. Islip. I guess if we want to do some South Shore boating we could go out with him. Where are you docked?
