I give up.
Give up on what? Not too sure you had any real input, other than a regurgitation of common facts - which were only marginally relevant - and could have been handled with a simple link, other than going all "big post".

Am I snarky? Absolutely. But being someone who has been around since the the SRO days, I've seen plenty of new folks run off with the "do as we say or we'll stop helping you" attitude. I'm reminded of the nosy guy on the docks that walks up in the middle of a conversation to put his two cents in and it always ends up a buck-fifty.

The OP has been very open to making the corrections, once the problems were brought to his attention, and was only asking for suggestions as to how to more easily take the silly thing apart.

I've seen the OP's boat, it's immaculate and getting even better daily. The owner has and continues to work diligently to insure it's safe and secure. I'm sure he'll continue.

I'm much more polite in a forum. If you were standing in front of me I'd suggest you butt out.

Thanks for your perspective.

And people at our marina come to me for advice. I don't walk the dock looking to give it.

I think the OP did dismiss Frank's advice in post #16 and Rick was suggesting that the OP reconsider his post and offered some other guidance stated as "For What It is Worth" in post #17. I think Frank addressed the blow off in post #18.

Heck I like to learn and even asked a clarifying question about appropriate materials to use.

I still don't know what the OP is really having us look at.
