New West Marine Catalog

My wife just brought me the new 2007 West Marine catalog. What a great cover this year... looks like the BAHAMAS!!! I love getting these catalogs just to browse...

I will say, however, that better service and prices seem to be found with smaller companies now (including the host of this web site). For example, Racor fuel filters for $14?! no way!

It does make great bathroom reading. A wish book extraordinaire.

But the prices can be beat. One great tool is Google. Once the item name or number is known, Google is a great way to search by price.

Here's an example: item #xyz123 <$35

That searches for the specific item and finds sellers that carry it for under $35.

I have saved LOTS of money that way. Aint technology great?

One thing I like about the West Marine catalog are the tips they have. Check out the last paragraph in the blue box on page 354 to find out why some RV antifreeze is a bargain.

I have never bought anything at West Marine. We have a store nearby and I go to browse thats it. All there items cost more than other retailers
