New User with a problem

Hello everybody, I'm a new user who was an idiot by not checking my overhead door when pulling my 2005 SeaRay 240 Sundeck out of the storage building. You got it, I damaged 2 sections of the overhead door Plus, I bent the front Bimini Top Bow. :smt089

So, I'm in the market for a used Part. I contacted my local dealer and they are pretty pricey. Any suggestions? I know about checking the door from now on....

It should cost you about $100 at a good Canvas shop. They will Bend up a new one. Al W.

You'll definitly get off easy at a canvas shop as al said, but, best of luck with that door!! Truth is, we all do crazy things in/to our boats. Just remember, that's what this site is for. I've found many many solutions to my neverending problems.

Thanks for the help, I'll check it out. Dealer want $300 for the bow plus $150 freight, Canvas shop sounds a lot cheaper

Depending on where the bend is, you might get away with a splice where they cut out the bend, put in a smaller tube to strengthen it and then put a finishing size over that. It's it in the canvas loop, no one will ever know.
