been boating and fishing most of my days I fished the infisherman pro walleye tour or PWT for 6 yrs and have boated the great lakes and rivers. I'm also a union heavy equiptment operator, all the pounding has taken a toll on the ole back and i can't take the beating my 19 ft walleye boat gives me anymore. So i have decieded to try a much bigger craft. I chose Sea Ray i knew they were a great boat from folks i have talked to and i also had rode in some, also they were being built here in Michigan at the time. Also cause my wife has built the dashes and is a buyer for the company that was building them from 85 til about 2000. We wanted to try something in the cuddy range like 21 to 24 ft but found this 25 and thought it was a good deal for us. Sometimes you have a feeling about a sale and this one felt right to us. I hope we didn't buy to much boat ! The 25DA was in the hands of the original owner her husband passing 3 yrs earlier and she left it in storage since. the bottom was never painted, the seates were all redone there was a new bim and camper top with it and a very good trailer which is important for me as i will fish all the grate lks with her. Being stored so long was a issue though, when the out drive went up the bellows cracked, they replaced them and the impeller we did the water test and the motor fired up and ran out very well water temp was 130 and didn't change at idle new batteries ,fuel filter fresh gas and all was great 4300 rpm and about 38 mph didn't seem bad my wife loved it my other walleye boat was about 55 mph and she didn't like that. Oh this is a 260 with 400 hours with a newer outdrive they hit a sandbar i was told. Ok well now it is in the driveway we have been rubbing and cleaning, it has been shrinkrapped for 3 yrs and a bit chalky i will post pictures very soon and will be here asking all sorts of ?? so nice to meet all and hope all a safe passage. Can you rename a boat i have never had to name one also are there decal kits for the older Sea Rays ? thanks J.R.
