While at the Miami Boat show recently, I saw a new type of Marine carpeting placed on the display 370 Sundancer.. I asked the Marine Max Rep what kind of carpet it was or who made it and He didn't know, said it had been placed there by someone? It was a kind of porous / fibre looking material, very cushy! Any ideas who is making this material?

Corinthian had a product like that in the past, but I couldn't find it on their website just now. It was a soft closed cell type of rubber mat like you'd expect to find on a ski boat.

Nope, not that stuff.... this stuff reminded me of open cell sponge material....or looked like scotch brite pad... but much softer....

Was it black? If so, it sounds like the new stuff being used to line the floor in ski lockers of sport boats (I suppose other places, but that's the only place I've seen it before.

It bothers me that this dealer had something on their boat that an employee knew nothing about it, how it got there, etc. Makes me wonder about their training/expertise!!!

Not trying to specifically defend anyone, but boat shows are crazy. Set-up and tear-down are absolute mayhem. Especially with a large dealership like a MarineMax, the salesmen typically aren't involved in the set-up of the display. They're just told to show up and do their job. At our dealership I'm actively involved in most of the processes, but at a place like MarineMax it's probably not that hard to understand why he wouldn't know. Well, at least that's what I hope the reason is...

That's it! Henderson products Deckadence! Anyone actually have experience with this stuff? Was soft on the feet, appears to be pretty tough.... Thx as always group!

What did the backing look like? I'm wondering if it's the same stuff as the ski well liner. I can only see some basic pics on their website. Was there an obvious backing, or did it look like there was no obvious top or bottom?

Looked like 50 Sq Ft was $125 plus about $25 shipping. Thats cut from your template. You can also add custom logos. Not a bad price I guess.

It all sounds good until you drop some food. Ill bet it would be real fun cleaning it. I guess if you wanted to you could drag it off of the boat or even hose it down in place. Its not for me though. I like the Berber look & feel we have now.
