I need some help to get excited. I have been toying and froing as to what car to buy myself for the last few months. Wether to buy a Sports Ute (truck) or a car.

Took my wife out today for about the first time since her operation, and we stopped at a car yard to look at 2 vehicles quickly that I was deciding over.

She told me to buy it so I did.

Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, 2L Turbo, 6 speed Auto twin clutch, AWD, paddle shifts, and buy the Red one.

Yep, nothing sensible I Know, now I am looking forward to it.

EOFY special, basically got $15K off the drive away price.

Daughters on 'P's, and red P plates, not allowed to drive a turbo, government regs not mine, awe shucks.

Strangely though, I bought one of my sales reps a standard lancer 31/2years ago, then bought him a Triton, I took the lancer when she was learning to drive.

With the Admirals Operation, she hasn't been able to drive for 6 weeks, so I have had her car.

So the daughter has had the lancer, said to her last week, "what are you going to do when I take the car back?" Her answer "probably cry"

I can understand that, she is doing Higher School Certificate, last year of school, and in the middle of assessments etc. she has to be at school regularly at 7.30 - 8am, and it is over an hour from home, Bus then train, the 1km walk

and you sound so cut up about that :p

I've only driven a few Lancers, but they've all been fun, even sans turbo.

Just for you Rcon, picked up today. I'm impressed, really nice drive.

Is that the same engine as the evolution? Lancer ? My 18 yr old would love that .we don't have regulations like that here in the states,, but we should. Kids here drive m3's and wrx's like they where on a track. Best of luck with that sweet ride....

This was my new toy a few weeks ago. Figured the hummer was overkill for my new surroundings and the Florida "winters"! First BMW and I already know it won't be my last!!

Well done! They drive nicely, I did a BMW track day last year, it impressed me with BMW's even more. Can't see the back for the badge Shaun, which one did you get?

It's just the 328i. Didn't want to go with the 5 or 7 series until I knew if I even liked the cars. Verdict, love it!!! I see a 5 series in my near future!! :)

There's a lot of them here. Just felt like it wasn't right for me anymore! And we know EVERYTHING we see on tv is real!! Lol

We drove that one when we bought the wife's last year, it is a really nice car, I am presuming the F30.

We bought the wife the 320D, it has changed my mind on diesels in cars. I started seriously looking for a 530D for myself, before I picked up the little Lancer

My BMW has those paddle shifters as well, but I've never used them. Seems like they'd be a pain. Anyone bother with them??

Depends how you like to drive, I enjoy driving I manual mode occasionally,

The BMWs really punt when you us the paddles, and from memory (the 320 doesn't have them) when you use them if you settle down after about 5 minutes it automatically reverts to Auto,

Go on give them a go, enjoy it
