New to the forum - just bought 2000 Sea Ray 230 BR Signature

i live in yukon ok and like to visit the extended area lakes and sometimes the local lakes.

I bought my boat first week of june this year.

My SeaRay spent its first however many years at lake travis in austin before being traded in and then sold to a dealer here in okc then sold to me.

It has a 5.7 mercruiser with bravo iii, currently at 388 hrs, blue with tan interior.

i am sad to say that the poor ole boat blew a head gasket last weekend and is now being disassembled to deck the block and get a new head etc by the dealer who sold me the boat.

Cant wait to scroll through all the awesome info on this site.

Welcome to the forum. Bummer 'bout the head gasket, and especially about the fact that they have to remove the whole engine to deck the block. That does sound drastic. We've had 5.7's for many years and never had a problem with them. Hope they fix ya up soon and get you back on the water. Enjoy.
