new to sea ray

Well, picking up my "new" sea ray friday...well .... a 1984 Sundacer 27'...but Im new to Sea Ray ... I have owned many boats over the years but never a Sea Ray. My last Boat was a Fountain 35 go fast...now with a family and some time I would like to "restore" the older looking model since I don't care for the "lines" of the new ones - or the prices
I bought the below one w/o motors or drives - and no cockpit seats too...So should be fun -i have bought many boats with nothing in them since installing all new on the old stuff seems to be better for me. Though always run inot problms since its BOATING!

I have been reading the board and hope to contribute -looks like a great Board...

welcome to the club,my sundancer is an '81 and has the same great style, and have to love the price[1/4] of a new one and less ins.costs too......and hey gary,his ant. is vertical.:smt038

ya, you should see the motor, a 5 hp...the trim tab plates are screwed into the transom holes so it dont sink...boats a :smt038mess...give me a few months!...

I almost bought a 30 sports sedan...but AS USAULLY...i hit my head on the hartop and in cabin...im 6'4...this 27 seems ok to walk around...though ill have to adjust the arch.:wow:
ya, he looks like he has a nice boat...but a differnt class of a ride. I also had a Regal 30 ft a few years a back which I installed new motors and drives in , was nice going almost 60 mph with it...cant do that with a sedan

You could very easily afford the gas it takes to run Gary's boat...:thumbsup:


The diesel fuel, on the other hand, could be a problem.:smt009
