New to Sea Ray

I purchased a 1990 39ft Sea Ray Express in the summer of 2007. It was a hard one to pass up since it only had 480 hrs on it. Even though it is gas powered the craft performs well for the use it will get. I have always felt that if you are boating in the ocean or have a charter boat diesel motors are needed. The trips I take from Mablehead to the islands would not justify the extra expense of the diesels.
I did not get to use the 39 as much as I wanted since it had a few problems tat had to be worked out. Looking forward to this summer though.

Congrats on the boat. Hopefully this summer you will get to use it more! We dock at Cedar Point, and were able to use the boat every weekend last summer. The weather was absolutely great!

Congrats! You in Marblehead, MA? I spent many summers there as a kid. My dad and uncle were big divers and often went out of there and the Wingershiek beach area.

Congrats and welcome Douglas - great boat. There are "Marbleheads" all over the country, but since you mentioned the islands, I assume you're in Ohio?

I dock at Anchors Away Marina in Marblehead Ohio. The marina where Crabby Joe's resturant is at.

We keep it on the trailer at Marine Max in West Harbor. We are marina hoppers and go wherever we feel like when we are at the lake. Some nights at MarineMax but that is a little to oldish for my wife and I. We also stay at Marina Del Isle in East Harbor as we have friends there and it is a great facility. We also Have friends at Baypoint.

When at the Islands we Usually stay at B-dock on South Bass and Portside at Kelleys. I am really excited that they actually finished the Marina at Middle Bass. Generally in years past this has been our base of Operations so having it back next summer is going to be great.
