Hello.
We're the happy owners of a classic "new to us" 1989 300db. The engines were rebuilt last fall and only have about 20 hrs on them, the generator's in excellent condition, and all other systems are in top condition.
We're in Pensacola, FL docked in the bayou easy distance to the bay, intracoastal, or the Gulf, or even up the rivers. This boat will give us more freedom to do the long weekend or even weeklong cruises that we've been wanting to do.
This is the first boat we've had with twins or a fly bridge so we still have a lot to learn. Previous owners of small 14ft and 17 1/2 ft fishing boats with outboards, and an older 25 ft Chris Craft express cruiser so this is a big change. Looking forward to getting some good advice.

Akbassking, I think that you're right. I didn't see any Sea Ray 300 Sedan Bridges past 1989 when looking on the Sea Ray website. Not sure why - it's amazing how much "living area" is available on this boat.
We're working on getting used to the boat. One of our dock mates gave us some much appreciated lessons on controlling the boat at idle and docking using just the shifters to turn, set position, and dock. We're in a tidal bayou so always have either incoming or outgoing current, plus most often a 10 or 12 knot breeze coming in from the Gulf or from any other direction. The Sea Ray isn't affected by the wind as much as the Chris Craft was, but it still makes life "interesting". I was supprised that it feels so natural to drive from the bridge after always being on a cruiser style or smaller. The bridge makes it so much easier to navigate through the heavy boat congestion we have in our area, and makes it easier to see the kayaks and paddle boards that are literally everywhere.

Congrats on the new boat, welcome aboard!
