- 4.3L Mercrusier V6 190 hp
Hi Everyone,
Our family is the proud new owner of a 2004 185 Sports. We live down under in western Australia with 4 kids... (3 of the them triplets). Our little 16" Aluminium runabout was not cutting the mustard any more.
Did my research.. looking at a 18 to 19" bowrider.. must be 4.3L and must have anchor locker.. We found our little rocket ship.
I am completely blown away by this boats allround performance..
At 8 knots and no wake zones it is a pleasure to be on. I love the quite rumble of the V6... (Compared to an 50 hp Merc OB on the old boat :grin
At 12 -15 knots sits pretty...
Give it the beans and its peaking out at about 43 MPH.
The most impressive thing on this boat is its handling it turns on a dime at nearly full speed... just awesome..
This is my first Fibreglass IO sports boat.
So will be very interested in any tips and gotchas...
Thanks for having me club searay !
