I started out the day with a trip to see the boat I might be buying with my surveyor, we looked the boat over top to water line (will look at the rest when we pull it out next week) and after a ride around the lake I put half down on a 1986 Sea Ray 270 Sundancer!! Wife and I are happy as can be and can't wait till spring. If anyone is ever down on the Tennessee River by Paris Landing Marina stop in and look for us on the "Because We Can" with our four basset Hounds relaxing and having a good time. Will load Pictures when I figure out how

Congrats on the boat and a big welcome to CSR!!!
I just tried to get my buddy to buy the same model boat this week but he failed to pull the trigger.

He just sold his 2003 280DA last spring and wasn't ready to jump back in. The boat was a heck of a deal!! I hope the rest of your deal goes smooth!!
Best of luck with her and definitely post pics when you get a chance.

Welcome to CSR!

Congrats. Great area to boat. We make it down to Paris Landing once or twice during the summer and make the hike to the lodge for dinner. Its a very nice area. Used to run to Fat Daddys alot but that was before the locals and defensive tackle-size flies took the place over. I once had a gang of flies pick up and fly away with my cheeseburger. The cheeseburgers were always safe around the locals though, they don't have many teeth.

Whatever happened to the new marina they started in Clarkville 3-4 years ago? ever finish it?

welcome and congrats! definately need to share some pictures. barely gotten the time to enjoy our 88 270 and what little time we've spent on her has been fantastic.

The basin is all dug out and several buildings are up. The boat ramp is being used, seems like it is a mile long with a steep grade, but it works. No slips as of yet though. I talked to a lady at Elm Hills marina on Percy Priest lake where my boat is now, she said that the same owners are putting the slips in Clarksville. Starting out with 100 by spring and up to 300 by fall. I drove by there the other day and didn't see anything new so not sure when they are going to start. Will have to check on the price and see what kind of atmosphere it is there. We really like Paris Landing, the people who run it and the other boat owners are great. Are you still up at Grand Rivers? One of our first trips will be up to Patties. If you are around we could meet up.

A few pictures, more to come after I go back this weekend
