New Subwoofer Suprise

So long story short, I ended up with a JL subwoofer this weekend. The shop surprised me. The name of my boat is Ba Da Bing, here is what they brought me....



The question I have, is it ok to stick this thing under the console or do I need to relocate it. Not sure if the big magnet will interfere with electronics or compasses. Thoughts?

I would personally keep it 6' from any compass or heading sensor. And don't leave your wallet with credit cards on top of it either. [BUUUT... leaving the wife's wallet and credit cards on top might be a great idea]
