Hi Fellas,
I purchased a Boss blue tooth marine stereo system 4 ohm 200 w with two marine speakers 2 way. I need two more speaker for down in the salon, as I tossed the old clarion out. Am I limited to buying 2 way or can I use 3 way speakers as long as I stay with 4 ohms?
Appreciate any input at this point.
Cheers Rob

will not make a difference. The only factor is the impedance of the additional speakers. If you are going to add these to the amp listed and its a 2 channel amp then they will play with the other speakers. Generally wired in parallel on the output of the amplifier. If you have two pair of 4 ohm speakers and you parallel wire this will put a 2 ohm load on the amp. question is can this amplifier handle this load?

Hi, I figure just fade the outside speakers when using the inside speakers.

Correct..... not a expert on this topic, just want tunes in the salon and outside when needed.

if you have outputs for 4 speakers, no issue. Back to the main question. 2-way, 2-way does not matter. again as long as the overall load (impedance) on the unit is within specifications

Thanks bud you have answered my question!

Not to go off subject, but what are you doing with the old worn out pos Clarion? Inquiring minds, well at least mine would like to know.

I am keeping the brackets. The old stereo was replaced before I purchased the boat.
