New boat shopper needs help

Ok,somone give me some help please. I'm looking for a new sea ray like the 280 but don't know how the dealers programs work. Hypathetical question: If a dealer says his invoice for a 280 is 93,000 what did he really pay and how much is mark-up? I need to know how to deal before I start looking. Any help would be great.
Thanks.

With the financial state iof brunswick & marine max I would imagine you could get a deal right now. I don't know about invoice. You should be able to pick up a year or two old 280 for less than what their quoting invoice on a new one. I know several 06 & 07 have sold for around 89 or 90 at our marina.

So are you looking for a new 280?? Your sig line says you have an '03 280? do you see any appreciable differences? I can't think of any. Why the search?

Sorry, I should have updated my profile, the deal on the 03 went south it wasn't as good of a boat as first thought. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I am looking at a showroom new 06 that's why I'm asking.

Well, I'm no expert but I would start by looking up the value in the N A D A book. Offer lower...cuz the bank will not finance much more than the low book value anyways.
