New searay 370 Venture

I think that is a great layout. Interesting to see it person.

Interesting to say the least!!!

Gorgeous interior, but I can't help saying the design lines have a retro feel to it.

Regarding the outdrives... In my opinion this is step backwards. I feel developing inboard engines that are lighter and engineered for a boat would have been the way to go. Perhaps a focus on smaller diesel engines or even outboard engines converted to inboard. I have nothing against outboards. I think they are great engines that belong on a boat that fits the needs of a boater who wants an outboard driven boat. Hidding them in a so called inboard boat wastes more usable space. Mascarading old technology to look like new is a cop out. This is not an improvement in my humbled opinion.

Cool boat, can't denie that! I don't see this concept taking off.

Between this boat and the new 410, it looks like Sea Ray abandoning the concept of the family cruiser used for lots of overnight cruising. This boat is a 37 footer with an 11 foot beam designed for two. You can certainly entertain more, but you have to squeeze four peeps into bunks.

The boat has sleek lines, I wonder what it will look like with canvas? If it doesn't have a camper back, the back drop will render most of the cockpit unusable.

Refrigerator space is always a premium and most families bring a cooler to their boat. Where could you stick a 48 quart cooler on the 370 that is out of the way yet accessible?

As of this moment in my life I will take the frustration of harder to work on engines for a cleaner design and more functional space. While I am having fun I don't want a big and hot aparatus keeping my kids from coming in and out of the water. What I don't understand with ALL boat manufacturers is why they don't think out of the box. Instead of adjusting to continue to use engines that already exist for other applications, they don't have engine manufacturer's build specific boat engines. In addition, why build inboar/outboards that have an outdrive that can't be lifted out of the water. I guess its cheaper to mold fiberglass around an outboard than to pay an engineer to design innovation.

I don't think anyone has noticed, but this boat may be a 37 footer but the hull is really a 32-33. How will it handle? Will it be top heavy? It will not navigate like a 37 for sure. Last I remember the Titanic did not turn in time due to the location of a small rudder.

I find myself upset... I don't know why. LOL, I guess its the Italian blood.

I like it..
This might keep me with Sea Ray for my next boat, which would be in the 30’+ range,I don’t see myself going larger. It won’t be for a while with a daughter in Collage and 1 in High School.
I like the whole layout and that the engines can be tilted out of the water, the benafites of an outdrive with out all the headacks?

I had the same thought. Sea Ray is going with inflated model numbers to make peeps think they are getting a bigger boat. I bet when one of the new 370s goes through the USCG documentation process, the Coasties will say it has a length closer to 32 feet than 37. As far as handling, I bet this new boat runs like a scalded dog and with the separation of screws it handles very, very well around the docks.

My 2009 350 was documented at 37ft and 11 ton so it's loa is 37+ and I don't have the long swim platform Just saying

I followed the link and it brings me to a Google site?

I finally got the link to work.

I kind of like it. It is not going to replace anything they are currently selling. In my opinion this boat will appeal to a certain market. It is a departure from the norm- but different isn't necessarily bad.

I would love some outboards!!!!

Thanks Jack. Pretty cool design but not sure how the overall public will like it. I personally would love outboards on my 280DA.
