C2C35898-C554-4AEB-99FB-C3BA2ACA1F81.jpeg Just retired and picked up a 1993 SeaRay 180 4.3 as my third boat for occasional cruising on the lake @$3600. I am third owner, TN freshwater use, engine and outdrive seem fine. Throttle trim button was sketchy but did not seem removable from handle upon disassembly, so spiced its wires for dash rocker switch and works fine. Trim gauge stuck at full up display, so any suggestions welcome.

The switch is serviceable. I found a couple youtube videos that explain how to take it apart. It is not obvious how to dismantle. I replaced the switch in my 1995 180 before I moved up to a bigger boat. I think the switch was only about $20.

Welcome to CSR!

Took the throttle handle off (5/32 allen set screw) and trim and trailer up were on same wire harness, metal clip behind the trim button seemed to block removal. Was odd that jumpering the red and purple did nothing, as looks like purple is tied to trim limiter circuit. Will look at more trim gauge info after checking all wiring connections. Thanks for reply.
