I'm not sure that's the case. I only read the 37-page document to the point where it got into "discussion of comments", but it appears they are simply doing away with the required labeling of "type codes" and will be coming out with a new labeling system that will be "common language" based. It sounds like certain requirements will still have to be met to be CG approved, but it will simply be a easier to understand labeling system. CG approved, with type codes, are still currently required until the new system is in place. Or, at least, that's the way I read the document.
