New post icon

The only way to to clear the "new post Icon" from indicating that there are new posts in the forum or thread is to double click the envelope icon. Marking all forums as read doesn't seem to work. But when I refresh the page, the icon indicates that new posts are in the thread again...

. . . .and the "light blue" vs "light pink" is almost indistinguishable. Can we boost the constrast on this? Make the icons a bolder color?

I'm still having trouble with the envelope icon....no matter what I do, it always indicates unread posts in threads that I have either read or marked read...
