Hey guys, I just picked up a 1973 srv 190 for free. Its a project boat. Has some dry rot and maybe a bad motor. I hope i can get some tips and guidance from the gurus on here.. thanks

There's a lot of information on this site. Id do a search on "fixing up an old boat" and the associated costs that usually follow. It get's real expensive and by the time you're done you could have spent the same money on a newer boat that ran fine.
It all depends on what condition the boat is in, parts availability, and how many sweat hours you're willing to put into the project.
Good luck no matter what direction you choose.

i just bought a 66 or 69 Sea rat SRV 16 with a 70'ish Merc 150 hp motor for 300 bucks on a rusty but good shape trailer. My plan is to restore it but gonna take some work, keep me posted on your progress ,, i wont be starting on mine for some time but my brother and I just restored our 1985 Baja Force 22 from stringers on up and we just put her in last week. It was worth the effort as it is better than new, Good luck!
