Finally got my new to me 1998 330 dancer in the water. I have a few questions for those with experience with this model.
1 is it normal for the steering rudder shaft packing to drip 10-15 drops per minute?
A guy on the dock said its normal for them to weep a little when first put back in the water.
I was on land for 10 months.

2 aside from the engine bilge and shower box are there any other bilge pumps?

3 does this model have a recall on the exhaust setup? I've heard that they do but Searay says they never heard of it. I ask because with 450 total hours the boat has ruined two sets of engines. I just installed the third set. Both previous failures were from water ingestion.

4 do the battery switches need to be turned off when leaving the boat unattended? I stay on a mooring so no shore power. It's no so cool to have to unsnap the seat cushion every time I have to access the switches.

1. Weeping may stop after a few days. If not you may need to tighten the nut. 2. No other pumps I am aware of.
3.no recall I. Am aware of what type of engines do you have for a repower
4.i turn mine off every time I leave.

Share some pics of your exhaust and the board will quickly tell you whether or not you have the type of setup prone to ingestion. It would seem very foolish if engines were being replaced for water ingestion but the bad exhaust was being left in-tact? That would be hard to believe.

Do you not have battery solenoid switches at your main breaker panel? I would have assumed you could turn off the solenoids vs having to actually throw a switch when you leave the boat?

I cannot get pictures to upload. Can someone post them for me? I can send by text or email.
