Hey guys....I've recently noticed a new noise while underway. It has something to do with steering as the noise is almost gone while the wheel is turned straight, but as soon as I turn left or right, I hear a whining/straining noise. It is at its worst when the wheel is turned all the way, in either direction. Its not loud...can't hear it unless I'm just riding around at low speeds. But its noticeable for sure. Is this the steering pump going bad perhaps? or what would it be?

PS pumps rarely fail, low on fluid maybe, or more than likely it's your gimbal bearing

Or u-jpoint. I would pull it and fix it before it fails. Outdrives only give short warnings before small issues become very expensive ones.

Water in the bellow taking out the gimbal bearing or the U joints.Dont wait to inspect or it will cost you a whole lot more money.
