Hello from Denver, NC. We are in the process of purchasing our first Sea Ray, a 2003 380DA. The survey is scheduled for Friday, Nov 2nd, hopefully all goes well. The boat will be kept at South Harbor Village in Southport, NC. Just happened to stumble accross this site, looks like alot of valuable info. Look forward to participating in the future.

Welcome to the board Mike!!! It is always good to have another member from NC. How is High Rock looking with the rain from the past few days? Again welcome to the board and good luck with your search.

Welcome Aboard  . May also want to put some info in your signature. Boat and engine info, Location, etc

Hi-o!

Denver is one of my 5 favorite cities, and my cousin and her husband just moved out there. I didnt see any lakes though?

Just a lotta snowboarding, skiing and snowmobiling.

PS...I know it will be kept in NC. But I couldnt think of anything funny or clever to say, so this was just easier.

Welcome aboard. There are plenty of 380 and ex-380 owners here. If you need any help or advise, just ask...

So how did the survey go? Also, being in Southport, you are going to be about a 45min run from my wife and I up here in Wilmington. We have a survey on our "new" 05 260 Dancer tomorrow, so keep me posted of when you're going to be down here, and maybe we can plan a time to meet up!

Survey went well. Nothing major to report only minor stuff:

As far as the engine surveys, the mechanic said it was the first boat he has done where the only recommendations was service the engines (oil change, plugs, impellers, belts) mainly to give me a starting point. The compressions checked out like a brand new engine out of the box. The engines actually turned 75 hours on the sea trial. So few hours had me a little concerned on a 4 yr old boat but all in all they checked out fine. As far as everything else there was some minor dock rash that tore a thru hull on the starboard side where the cockpit drains, some nav lights were out and a minor leak in the cabin I believe we traced to the winshield needing some recaulking in a couple areas.

If all goes as planned we should be picking the boat up on Friday or Saturday.
