Beautiful boat... just curious though, how are the tinted windows working out? I think a nice pair of Oakleys would work out much much better..... Seems that the lack of roof thing might render the forward viewing benefits of the tint utterly useless. Or am I missing something?

its 5% tint when i drive i stand up but with the sun out u can see no prob just like having sunglasses on

The tint might look different in person but otherwise it's a great looking boat. Nice job

.

Nice boat. Its good to see that Sea Rays dont loose their charm at whatever year they are.
How fast will this go with that engine?

Nice looking boat! Username certainly seems to say it all - most people will never say they have too much power!:smt043

Nice boat, and I don't mind the tint. It makes it look almost like a powerboat, which is what you were goin for I assume. Looks good with the new black stripe and rub rail insert (I just did that on mine too). I've got some questions though:

A. What is making the boost in your profile pic?
B. How fast will the boat go?
C. How does the alpha one handle the bigger engine?
D. Where are you from/what lakes do you boat?
E. Who made the swim platform, or is it original?

thanks for all the comments my boat is nothing compared to some of the beautiful boats on this site now on to your questions

ive had it up around 49-50 mph and i dont think i would ever want to go any faster in that boat
my profile pic is my old typhoon
the alpha one is great compared to the pre alpha that was on the boat before
im from Michigan and we go out on Lake St Clair
the swim platform i got from a boat junkyard off a bigger Sea Ray

Awesome classic there. Not sold on the tint but that's just me....Welcome to the board.

Love it. Just raw power, Classic lines, Whats not to love? The tint works for you it works for me. If you can't see, stand up! Man, I love it!

thanks anyone know where i can get a used set of exhaust manafolds for a good price?

Dave, you ever make it to Put-in-Bay? If so let me know. The boat looks in great condition. My first boat was a 1980 Sea Ray 260 Sundancer I bought used. I'm in a 1998 270 now but miss the old boat. Liked the layout better. Have a great summer!

I have BARR MARINE on mine and a spare set of unknown condition, that I'm sure I'll need. Now I have read on here they do not last. That is all I know.

Oh No!! Don't put used manifolds on that rig. Save up and get some new ones. Water intrusion/Hydro Lock would put an end to that 400 Small Block.:smt089
