Hello to All members,
I am a proud owner of my first boat 07 36 SB in Huntington Harbour, CA.... Very exciting... We love the new boating lifestyle. I read all your useful comments before making the purchase... Thanks so much for the forum. I have many things to do to prefect our boat and hope you all can share your experience....

We can't figure out how to lift the 3-step stair case leading up from the galley to the salon to get access to the central vacuum unit... We found no visble latch, may be the handle has been broken or something. I feel there is a latch that is holding it down when we lift it up.... It moves just a tiny bit and it is stuck like some thing hooking it back... Any idea?

The boat leaks water on both seal shaft while underway and I need to replace the seal out with the spare seal on the shaft, the boat yard recommends changing the warm water source that is used to cool the shaft seal with cold water source. I think the current factory water source comes from the warm exhaust water.... Any thoughts on this one?

Thanks so much
Pt

Hi PT,

Glad to see another one out there. Was this the one that was for sale in Newport Beach?

To lift the stairs, you need to pull really hard. It is a tight fit. It closes the same way - hard.

No clue about the shaft seals. I haven't had any issue with them yet - haven't had to explore that adventure. I'm interested to hear what you learn though...

Your neighbor down south,

Kevin

Thanks Kevin, I will pull the stairs hard then... Yes, it is the Newport Beach one...
About salt water in the bilge, I am working to get rid of all the leaking sources.
