I just got my first Sea Ray in October after much skepticism, I'm not going to lie. My family and I were in the Grady White family for 20 years and Sea Ray was not on the top of the list.
Here's the story. We had a 2003 282 Grady White that we bought one and half years ago and it was a lemon, which seemed impossible with Grady White. Gas tanks went, the waste tank had a leak, and we had to put over 6k into the engines with only 400 hrs on them. Besides the inordinate amount of work the boat needed, we still loved the boat! Great handling, it could take any and all weather, and was fast!
Realizing we were doing more boating then ever, we decided we wanted a more substantial boat, but the 330 Grady White was way out of our price-range and we didn't like the design. Then we looked at every boat on the rainbow, all in the 50-70k price range.
After finding this forum, I pretty much realized what I've been missing out on all these years. We hadn't gone to look at any Sea Ray's yet, but this forum steered us in the right direction. We looked at the 2007 280 DA, 2005 300 DA, and then finally the 2002 320 DA. After reading about EVERY detail on the 320 and how amazing it was, we made the decision to buy it. I will tell you that I am extremely happy I made the decision to get into the Sea Ray brand.
I just wanted to let you know how influential and beneficial this forum has been for my family and I. So now I go around saying.. Grady whaaa? Let me correct you.. Sea Ray all the way.
