Hey Jim, where you been? I was in Canada last week and flew back in yesterday. They kept giving the Canadians score during the game on the plane. One guy leans over and says "we are whipping the Americans". I simply said "Yeah North America rocks."

Loosing to Canada is kind like getting beat up by your brother. Yeah it hurts but he's still your brother. IMHO.

Good perspective Bill. I haven't followed the game since the original six but I imagine the Canadian team would have just as many American boys on it as Canadians. (I was a hard core Detroit fan back in the old days) I think you guys get just as much cold a ice in parts of your country as we do in MOST of Canada, so there's good opportunity for youngsters to grow up with hockey in the USA too. Being from Victoria I probably couldn't even STAND on a pair of skates to save my life.

My dads family is from Minnesota. If you weren't into winter sports, hunting and fishing you weren't an Anderson. Yes the upper mid west gets whacked every year much like central Canada. It goes to sub-zero and stays there for months it seems.:smt009
