hello every one, just found this sight and joined today. I have a 1999 270 Sundancer, my wife and (2) kids do alot of boating on Kentucky Lake. I hope this isn't too soon to ask for advise but, my boat will not go into reverse. I had the outdrive (Bravo 3)gone through last fall and was told it was like new inside(125 hrs). I think it is a cable adjustment issue, it works great in foward and once in a while in reverse. Thanks Scott

Welcome Scott....like you said maybe a cable problem. Get a manual and trouble shoot it, or take it to a marine mechanic.

Welcome Aboard. You must be a southern Illinoisan (UK fan). I'd take it back to the mechanic. I heard there was a plate on one side of the lower part of the lower unit that can be removed for access to the shift cable but I don't know anything about it. Have someone operate the throttle/shift lever while you inspect the cables in the engine bay for operation and possible binding. While your at it also lube the cable assembly. Unless you have a shop manual I wouldn't get too far into it.

Welcome aboard.

Thanks everyone, I did take it to the local marina this past weekend the shift cable from the engine to the outdrive was definetly bad. They got changed out and I was back on the water that same afternoon.
