HELP...:smt017.

We were actually just working on a similar problem. Turns out that making these isn't difficult at all for the woman who lives down the street and does curtains. I always thought of a seamstress as someone who sewed clothes and such, but there is apparently a pretty strong cottage industry of people in their homes doing the custom curtains for decorators. I would go on your local Craigslist and give them a shout. Plan to take your old one to her...you could even go to the fabric store for an idea of colors and weights.

I must admit that none of this was my discovery. My wife had a handle on this pretty early in the sledding.

We had one made this past spring to replace the original one in our boat that was literrally "coming apart". The local sewing company took the old one as a template, sent us to a fabric store to select a fabric we liked. My wife selected a quilted pattern. The sewing company told us how many yards we would need. When it was done we spent $150 and had a little fabric left over in case my wife wanted to cover some pillows in the future. It looks great, I am sure it will last as long as the original one. Hopefully you will have similar success.
