I just installed a new Magma flush mount for my grill on my 2007 260 sundeck, pics to follow.
I just want to let you know if you have a sundeck and are trying to decide what mount to use this flush mount works great.
It works perfect, looks good, and took me fifteen minutes to install (I'm not very handy either:)
I originally purchased the Magma pole clamp mount thinking it's easy to mount on bimini pole without installation, big mistake.
The Magma pole mount does not work well on any pole that is even slightly angled.
So, purchased the flush mount and couldn't be happier.
I mounted it starboard side on the gunwale next to the wet bar.
Under storage door below wet bar you have access to tighten the three bolts for flush mount when installing.
It looks great, and when not in use, just unlock the mount arm with a push of a button, then push in the rubber plug into mount.
Another nice feature is this mount has eight diferent positions that lock allowing you to swing arm inside boat to put food on grill, then swing and lock it over the outside of boat.:smt038

So funny, I have exact boat.

Just got pole clamp, and clamp magma to flagpole on starboard side near door entry. (Obviously I removed flag) works great. Grill hangs over water. Out of way from kids.

I like that flush mount very much - easy to attach and clean looking.

But... Why didn't the pole mount work? The bottom of the grill has adjustments to account for varying angles of the pole.

Just an FYI for the future... Assuming your gunwale is at least 1/2" thick, or so (it's probably much thicker), you don't need to through bolt. Screws will be fine. Obviously you did no harm by through bolting, but for future reference you don't have to.

Did you grill anything, yet? Outdoor grilling is one of the "finer things" in life... And now you're doing it on a boat!!!!

I would like to see pictures as well. I ended up putting my grill on the swim platform since there was no other place to put it on my boat.

We recently got a grill...haven't installed it yet. We originally wanted to put it starboard on the wet bar, but when swung out over the water, it also puts open flames just inches above the fuel fill. I wasn't too comfortable with that idea. We've ordered the post to install on the swim platform, just waiting for it. Plus, I like having the shower back there to hose off any grisslies that fall on the platform. I would like to see pics, though, too.

This is over a year old guys with 5 total (now 6) replies. I think he's gone.
