I have been away from boating for a while as my last boat was a victim to the Ex-Wife.:smt089 Last boat ( Victim and first boat )was a restored 1978 14ft Johnsen that I made into a awesome little boat with a 25hp Evinrude from the same era. Good news is that I upgraded to a better Admiral that loves boating so we started shopping for a new boat. We looked at so many different styles and finally fell in love with a 1998 Sea Ray 215 Express Cruiser. The boat has 204 hours which I find tough to believe but she is in good shape so I guess its possible. The boat recently had ceramic risers and manifolds and a full ignition tune up 2 months prior to me purchasing it. The boat has been at the same marina since it was new and has had two owners.

I have been cleaning and fixing small things for the past two weeks and many people at the marina say the honeymoon of being a new boat owner will wear off soon, I really don't believe them:grin:. The marina calls me Captain OCD, I guess I made a name for myself already.

The boat is currently getting all the bellows replaced, shift cable, gimble bearing, tilt trim sensors, impeller and the cooler line replaced. The cooler line was dry rotted so to replace that line it was just easier to service the whole stern drive, that's my logic at least, well at least I know what has been done to the boat. Oh I replaced the horrible horn the boat had, it was embarrassing.

I look forward to being a part of this great forum.

Enjoy the 215 - we had one for a couple years. Was a great boat for us.

Enjoy your boat! Purchased mine new in 1998 and have enjoyed many hours and trips with it. It is a great boat for the ICW! Larry

I really have OCD in spades so from the all the OCD comments I will probably fit in just fine around here. I might even fit be able to be a member of the hole in the water club. I had the boat a couple weeks used it twice and have spent over a thousand, it spends fast with a boat.

So far we love the boat and look forward to many great years on the water.

Sea Ray boats seem to be a top notch boat, to bad the local Sea Ray plant closed locally

Sure am, where do you hail from originally? We were mainly from the Bedforshire area but originally both from Lincolnshire.

Born in Burton Upon Trent but spent my early years in Potters Bar outside of London.

Know both those places but not too well. At least for the most part the weather's better here, but reminded me of UK just recently with all this rain:)
