I want to set up a nice system with a 10 inch display and a 7 inch display connected to a transducer, open array, and fuel flow meters that I already have.

What else must be obtained? Are there cables to buy or does everything come with what you need to connect it? Just what other items do I need to budget for?

Mike, what flow meters are you using. Looking to do the same and switching to garmin I think

Assuming you already have the Garmin NMEA 2000 already set up? I just installed two displays and both came with the NMEA 2000 drop cable and T-connectors so that part was easy. You will need to get Garmin Network (ethernet) cables as necessary. The displays for sure need to be connected with each other along with the radar and perhaps your transducer. I would map out those connections and make sure you have enough cables and even more important, enough network ports for all the connections. Garmin has reduced the number of network connectors on its latest displays. I ran out of ports and had to install a network switch.
Another thing you might want to check is the size of the display itself. The latest displays use up almost all the face area with the screens and have very narrow bezels so the actual body of the MFD is smaller with the same screen size as earlier units. I found out I could actually have installed the next larger size in the same amount of real estate. So you might be able to fit a 9 inch in the same area that previously had a 7 inch.

RADAR connects to a Garmin network port. If both displays support radar, then they’ll share over the network.

Remember to connect the VHF to an NMEA2000 or 0183 network too.

I think I have found out what I need to know. Other than possibly a few connections to my current network there is no major things I have to buy other than the items I said I wanted above.
