New Dashboards- 1987 300DB

I'm starting the remodel of my dashboards. I should have done it when I put in new guages last spring but the water won over so I put it off until now.

Thanks to my good friend AKBASSKING for helping me find some of the critical parts. I just ordered the pen lights (if anyone needs an extra green one or two let me know, I had to order 25). The dashboards are being shipped to Marine Marks tomorrow morning to have new pieces built.

Yes, I talked to Mark this morning and he assured me the new dashboards would have all the markings. I think we are going to have the new dash done to match the original..... except I might have the checker pattern done in burgundy to match the boat color. Do you think that would look good or be too much?

It might actually be really nice, but I would have to see a sample and then maybe hold it up against the dash to see how it looks.
I wouldn't want to get anything too modern looking because it might look out of place with the rest of the boat.

Looks like your panels were made like the ones I have. Its a bugger that the corners just disintegrate isn't it. Waiting patiently to see the new dash eye candy... oh I think burgundy would be nice... What color is your back lighting going to be now the same green/blue or are you going to change that as well?

I like RED..... but I'm not sure how that will look. Since the tape light is so cheap I may just buy enough of a couple colors and see how it looks before we put it all together.

I have the same material in my '88 230CC, I think it's a great looking helm. I could take a couple of those green pen lights off our hands, that would be great!!

Hello nwocouple, I know its been a long time but I still do not have the the missing piece to the camper canvass you sent me. Is there anyway you can still send it to me? I will pay whatever it takes to get it to me... If you dont have it or just dont feel like sending it to me, just let me know so I can either throw out the canvass or see if anyone else needs it since its useless to me without the piece.

Well, I finally found OEM Sea-Ray tape light strips for the dash back lighting and got them ordered.

Got the new dashboards, guages are mounted now they just need to be installed.

So excited to have this project finished!
