So I finally added the snaps and completed the install on our new cockpit carpet. The carpet was original and getting pretty sad. We went with better than teak II vinyl. I'm very happy with how it turned out. We also purchased the swim platform piece but that's going to be a part tine item at the islands or when we're on the boat.

Looks awesome, where did you get it?
I bought it from snapincarpet.com. It's marine weave "better than teak II". I am very happy with the look and feel. It's very soft under foot and I wore shoes on it all day in the rain while installing and it didn't show any dirt at all. I think we're all in at $1400 ish with the swim platform piece. I bought that one specifically because how the platform shows footprints almost immediately after docking at our destination. That will save me hours in cleaning on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Looks very nice. Did they have the template or did you have to make your own.

Really looks good, did you have to take their template to align the teak joints or was this just place order and it shows up?

I have used snapincarpet twice before, good experience each time

Lastly, which of the better than teak II Which number did you get, they have a number behind them

Thank you!

This is "better than teak II" #6. They had the template and all I had to do was place the order pay. Lead time was two weeks. I laid it over the old carpet to get the first couple snaps started, then pressed it down on the existing snaps on the deck to get the snap location. The imprint left a very defined circle for the snap location. I will say it appears to be almost impervious to dirt. It was raining and miserable when I installed it and I had my shoes on most of the time. It didn't show anything.
