Looking for good ideas on replaceing the cabin steps. I just want to get rid of those old carpet and vinyl steps.

Was think of the same on my boat. Looking at pre made finished wood stair treds for inside. Also concidering snap in carpet treds on horizontal portion that could be removed, cleaned or replaced. Any one do this?

CHeck out Rich Goodale who advertises on this site. He has made me, and other csr members, custom teak steps. You should be able to find some recent tnreads on the subject. I had the same steps you describe. They are easy to remove, and installation of the new ones is very quick. I posted some pictures on the thread that show the old, and new ones.
