Hi All,

I have combed the threads and STILL can't come up with a good option. I'm replacing mine (two on each side) and they no longer make them. Whats the best ones out there? I'd rather not have to polish something all the time if possible. What do you guys use / have / suggest ?

Thanks in advance

I bought the West Marine brand. They are not very fancy, reasonably priced, and they work well for me so far. I know there are much nicer, and more expensive ones out there, but I figure if I have to replace these every 3 to 4 years it is not a big deal.

These are what I use to keep them suspended from my rails in the bow:

Two for each fender to keep them hanging horizontally.

Those look like mine. We put them on 4 seasons ago, and they have been good. Bill is correct, they do look flimsy. But, the hardware is very secure. I was afraid they would fall apart when they arrived. But since installing them, they have never been taken off, nor have they needed even the slightest of adjustments.

ok perfect, thanks guys! I'm headed to West Marine on a rainy weekend for yet another thing to check off the list lol.

I found some nice ones on eBay for much less than West Marine. It was sort of hit and miss on eBay and you sort of have to watch for out for the nicer ones but they always have the ones similar to the ones sold by West Marine. We sometimes go out with kayaks on the deck and found the racks to always be in the way.
Now I am using the "Findergrip" and prefer them over the racks. Always ready.

John,
I wish you were closed to Indiana. I have some in my building that I would sell you cheap but, I think freight would be a problem to you.
Bob

Yeah probably, thanks for the offer though! I'm about 40 min from Defender Marine I'm gonna check them also just to see.

I got very lucky, the PO spent over $20k on SS upgrades for my boat. He was in Hunting Beach CA. He had fender holders custom cut in, the satellite dish arch, the swim step railing and dinghy davits done.2015-05-22 14.28.37.jpg
