Ah yes the new boater, one who so far has enjoyed pouring countless hours into the cleaning, detailer, and making it ours... Fun fun... Now that we are almost there the little gremlins of older boat ownership have crept up to us. First a bad t-stat causes the starboard motor to run hot, very hot... Get that fixed run it for 40 minutes, go to put it in gear to take it out, and the engine stalls, and stalls and stalls... Now it needs a new shifter cable, seems to be the problem from all I have researched. Alpha one drives, so it looks like it now has to come out of the water to be fixed, joy joy happy happy... I have been in the aftermarket parts business for years, supplying Mercury and many engine builders in the marine engine business for over a decade, and they all said dont do it. Guess they knew huh? Oh well, so tomorrow starts my search to have the cable replaced so I can get this thing back in action...

Cheers!

But the classics are MUCH better than a newer boat! If we didn't do it, then they would all be in a landfill somewhere! I figured that since I didn't buy a new one for $220,000 at the Seattle Boat Show three years ago, I can take the savings and use it to keep this one running!

Let's see some pictures and welcome to CSR!!
