Port Saint Lucie, FL (April 13,2009) – Tommy and Sabrina Creel, Father and Daughter at Custom Welding Diversified, Inc., recently launched a new product known as the Boat Storage Stand.

This revolutionary product will aide and revitalize marinas and boat storage facilities. It will help reduce the costs that are involved when storing boats.

The Boat Storage Stands are SELF leveling, light weight, and made from a high quality aluminum alloy. The aluminum material gives the stand a long life span, and the ability to survive the brutality of salt water. The patented stand uses two movable arms to self level the boat as it is lowered onto the stand. When the boat is removed the arms automatically rise into position immediately ready for the next boat.

The company is impressed with the demand for the stands and will continue production.
Please visit the company’s website at www.Customweldingdiv.com for more information.

Is the contention that this product would be used to replace both the jack stands and the keel block, or just the keel block?

When I use jack stands they are spaced further from the keel than your product, so they would offer greater resistance to forces, such as wind, than your product.

They do look well made.

There is no need to use any other stands. All that is needed are two of the Aluminum Self Leveling Boat Storage Stands.

Our Boat Stand compared to the others:
The side jack stands offer support and help to keep a boat level. However, they do not support the keel. Normally, the bunks, blocks or platforms that are used to support the keel of the boat are made out of wood. The Marinas themselves have to purchase the wood, cut it to size, and then bolt it all together. However, wood rots. Not long after the wood supports are made they will need to be replaced. These stands are made from aluminum. They do not rust and are made to endure the weather and salt water. The arms of the stand automatically lower and rise into position using a cable and springs. The cable allows the arms to position themselves to fit the hull of each boat. It cradles the boat like a baby. (We all know that our boats are our babies.)

Another asset:
These stands can be used to support boats on the ground. However, they can ALSO be mounted to the beams in storage facilities in order to store boats in the racks. This is achieved by simply unbolting the (4) bolts that hold the Base (horse, or box) and the Top (channel with the arms) together. Mounting the top of the stand to the beams in the rack is easy. Simply bolt the channel to the beams using the same (4) bolt holes.

We will be adding more pictures and updating our website next week. I plan on uploading a video so that you can view them in action.

I appreciate your interest and questions. I will be happy to answer anymore that you have.

...so they would offer greater resistance to forces, such as wind...

Boatlover1 you didn't actually address the question.

Current stands are normally spaced farther apart more over to the boat from tilting over from wind or ground movement.

Looking at your stands it would see as wingless pointed out a strong wind would blow it right over unless you had your stands bolted to the ground some how and even then what keeps the boat from blowing out of your stands?

I agree with wingless. Unless that is a tanker in the picture, and the stand is 100' wide and 20' tall (obviously exaggerating), I think the boat will tip over on its side with a big gust of wind.

I apologize for not making myself clear. I should have included more information and the dimensions of the stands. I will supply a picture of the stands in use so that you will have a better idea as to their size and capabilities.

Re: Boat Stands in use

Hey everyone! I updated the website quite a bit. There are plenty more pictures and a really short video on the Self Leveling Aluminum Boat Storage Stand. Kindly visit the site for more information. www.Customweldingdiv.com
Happy Boating Everyone!

I fail to see how it is "self-leveling". I see it being "self-aligning" to the deadrise, but leveling?

I like the idea but hope you have a good lawyer and insurance.

..not to be a wise ass, but your product is not going to support a boat in winds without more at the keel..esp the corners. At least have a clear disclaimer in the product literature and website.

Maybe develop a second piece that is designed for the corners, sort of like a hydraulic boat jack stand made of aluminum and self leveling?

Re: Thanks for all your comments

Many Marinas in Florida are currently using these stands. Some of them have been using the stands everyday for over a year. So far, I have not received any complaints or suggestions. **Knock On Wood**. My father and I worked on these stands for years and developed many prototypes. This one turned out the be simple and just right.

:smt001ChuckW- Align is a synonym for level. The self adjusting arms allow the stand to cradle all different size hulls. The arms lower unanimously to ensure that the boat is held at a level position instead of tilted to either side. I have acquired a video camera and I plan to film the process. I will post the video on the website as soon as I get it.

I really appreciate everyone's comments (good or bad). Thanks.

I'll use them if Amber Vargo will come and set them up:lol:

That's the beauty of it. The stands do not need to be set up. No preparation. All you have to do is put them where you want them. You never need to move, adjust or maintain them. The stands do it all.
