New boat owners!

The wife and me bought a 1997 Signature 190 bowrider with a 5.7 Mercruiser. Everything is stock. Joining to gain knowledge about the ins and outs of this particular series of boat from SeaRay. So far everything's been wonderful. Hope to find some threads about running a boat with a 34" draft in Florida's shallow water ways. Also looking for some advice on preventive maintenance and recommended upgrades for this or similar models. I grew up in Ohio boating on Lake Erie which is very different to say the least. You could spend the whole weekend on the water and never get within 100 yds of another boat. This boat does seem a bit squirrely when following another boat and dealing with their wake. Not sure if that's just the way it is or I have my trim set wrong.
