I have a funny story that I think is worth sharing. I just bought my boat and don’t like its name. “Clear to Close”
So I thought I would enlist the help of my wife and kids to come up with a new name. My wife’s name is Patricia, my daughter is Kerri and my son is Ryan. Kerri is 7 and my Ryan is 10.
So at dinner the other night I asked them for help coming up with a new name for the boat. They started blurting out all sorts of names. My wife suggested “The Whippany Wacker” which is a nickname that we game my son because it is pretty good at baseball. Then my wife suggested “The Kerri Ann”, which is my daughter’s first and middle name. My daughter countered with “The Patricia Ann”, which is my wife’s first and middle name. I said I wanted to come up with something that includes the whole family and not just one person. So I joked that I was thinking about naming it “Ship of Fools” or the “Dirty Rotten Kids”.
The kids then started blurting out a bunch of names that really weren’t relevant to boating, so I explained that I wanted something with a nautical theme. I explained that sometimes boat propellers are called screws and that a boats speed is measured in knots. With that, my daughter says “oh I know, how about “The Dirty Screw”? :wow: :smt043:smt043 My wife and I started laughing. The kids didn’t know what was so funny. So I said “I think I like that,:smt038 but I’m not sure about your mother”. My wife tried to keep a straight face and says. “I’m not sure about that one. Lets come up with some other names”. So then my daughter says “Oh, OK, wait. How about “Screw Pat”? :wow::lol::lol::smt043 That didnt over well with her mother either.. I guess its back to the drawing board!
I should have know she was going to be grow up and be a character:
