OK so heres the story. 03 sea ray with the 3.0 mercruiser. This boat has only been used maybe 5 times a year since we bought it new. Always been serviced at the dealership. Everything is mint condition. Last season we noticed the battery wasn't keeping a charge. It did however start everytime I would charge the battery at home. We just replaced the battery with a brand new marine battery from the dealership here. Took the boat on the river once and had no problems. Took it out the other day it ran perfect for the first few hours. We were running it kinda hard playing around with some friends. Never let it get very hot before we were shutting it down and floating for awhile. All of the sudden it started cutting out under load. Never cuts out for more than a second at a time but does it every 5-10 seconds under a load. it will sit and idle fine in the driveway. I checked every wire for loosness and everything looked perfect like it just came from the dealership. I was thinking maybe it had something to do with the alternator since we had previous problems with the battery not charging. Does anybody have any ideas?

** one more thing...when I first tried to start it today it gave a slight turn then popped the breaker that sits on top of the engine. after i flipped the breaker it started up and ran
