New 750 Sea Ray

Too funny! Why would you guys focus on the bathroom?

For us smaller boat guys, just use the swim step.

And I guess I missed the location of the bait tank...

now that is a nice looking boat! They must have fired that last bunch of designers.
Thank god......

I would like to know if they designed that one "in house" or went to an outside design firm.

I am glad to see Sea Ray take this direction.
 
No, you're not the only one on this site...
I've always felt the "stuffed snout" (as they call it) was not attractive- and more importantly, not a seaworthy design. Makes no sense whatsoever to reduce freeboard at the bow- from a safety standpoint it's obvious, but seems to me that it also must reduce headroom over the master berth- where space is tight already. Never understood that.

As far as past coring issues, let's hope so. I know if I had the money to spend 3 mil or so on a boat, I'd be spending a bit more to have my own surveyor inspecting the build, whether it were a SR, Viking, or Vicem...
 
The water pressure in the bidet we have at home can shoot up so high it'll hit the ceiling... gotta have lots of pressure to wash your ass you know...

I was thinking more about how the drain would be plumbed to a sump box..... yummy.
 
Just returned from the Sea Ray Yacht Expo - they had in one building a full scale cardboard and wood mockup of this boat. They also had in another building various actual pieces of it being manufactured, we saw both the bridge and the hull. Pretty amazing - the bridge was so big at first I thought it was a boat itself! Anyway, this boat is definitely 'for real' as they are literally building it now ...

PS - I was also told there would be two anti-roll gyros on the 750DB.

I wonder who is doing the propellers for this? 1550hp Man or 1800hp man for power.
 
I remember seeing renditions of the 65. I think it's in the archives on the Sea Ray site. I wonder how many of them were ever built. True its similar just updated.
 
I saw an old Sea Ray 650 sitting up at Annapolis a few years ago. I think it was there last summer as well. If you scroll about halfway through this page:

You'll see the closeup picture I took of it. It didn't look all the great (i.e. did not age well) up close. I hope the new 750 holds up better than that 650 did.
 
We saw the 650 Motor Yacht you are referring to in Baltimore near the end of last summer. We had a transient slip not far from it and got to give it the once over look see.

Very nicely done and must have been a totally custom order.

It's owned by a guy named Jeff Boyer, he use to be at my marina. It was always immaculate but I haven't seen it up close for the last few years.

If I had the 3 mil or so I'd rather buy a Nordhavn. The new Nordhavn 75EYF looks awesome with some great range to boot!
 
I agree with the Azimut comparison. Those are great looking boats, and Sea Ray's approach to this seems very appropriate in terms of looks. I'm not sure I agree with the Marquis, although the side profile is similar. The Marquis seems to have a much higher bow that throws it off balance compared to Sea Ray's 750.
