NEW 55 Sundancer

Frank:

That is just the base.....your 410 plus a few hundred more on top of the $1.3M would about do it for a well equipped 55DA... ....I wonder what the Brunswick incentive package is...

Are y'all beginning to see whay we get all these boat magazines free?

The publishers really need to send a bibb with every issue to soak up all the drooling us boat wishers precipitate!

I went to the Palm Beach Boat show today. It is sooooooooo much better imho than Miami. Didnt get a chance to look at the 55DA but i will Sunday. I tell you what really stood out and people gathered around was Garmins new 5210 touch screen. I was so impressed that i ordered one after the demonstration. I think someting like a dozen people signed up. AB aluminium 11ft dinghy was nice, center consol 30hp wt was around 500lbs. I didnt get to stay to long but am going back Sunday. Did talk with several top people and the market is hurting right now, still. Saw rates at 6.25% at several vendors. JC

I read the article over the weekend. There were a few things that the author wrote that just didn't seem right to me. However, the one that really stuck out was his comment that the V-Drive configuration, with the engines mounted further aft, helps the boat plane better.....huh.... :smt017

The bigger 'dancers and express boats run at a different angle of attack. The longer the boat, the less the aft COG issue is and the more like regular inboards they handle. Somewhere about 50 or so ft. LOA the "Sundancer" aft cog handling characteristic dissappears.
