Actually I have owned Journey for almost one year now, but still learning so much. She has two 4.3l mercs and both were just rebuilt.

looking for a dingy and a way to secure to stern.

also thinking about a fuel flow monitor.

lastly having trouble with neutral safety switch.

any advice or ideas would be appreciated.

Mark,
There is a huge 280 thread on here and quite a bit of coverage on the dingy.

Better off skipping the fuel flow meters unless you are planning some long hauls where fuel flow/usage will be critical.

Trust me, there are some things you just dont want to know...boating will be happier without them

All over...just out my backdoor, the bay and the gulf are calling. Where are you?

We head out to the sand bar near Weedon Island, Beer Can Island in Tampa, Egmont Key and the Bay. We also visit many marinas and such in Sarasota.

Thanks for the reply. I am planning on this for two reasons: 1) optimize cruise based on load...a friend swears by his...that often he can cruise faster and get better economy. 2) for monitoring engine health/tune. i just pulled my spark plugs and discovered it is running way too lean...would have never know that. seems like knowing there is a change in fuel consumption would be a good indicator of overall health.
