I leave tomorrow to pick up my 2004 280 sea ray sundancer. I am a little nervous about the trip because I will be trailering 1100 miles. Any tips for trip will be happily accepted.

Congrats! Give us more details....where are you picking it up? Where do you boat? Slip or trailer? Powerplant?

You made a fine choice

How difficult was it to get wide load permits in multiple states?

Did you go thru some sort of agency that did this for you or did you do it on your own or are you just ‘going for it’ without permits?

Congrats! I'm sure you'll love the boat!

Watch out for any "Low" bridges! and make sure the trailer has been serviced...tire pres., bearings greased, & lights work.

WOW. Congratulations! That is my favorite model. Good Luck with it and the trailering.

If it were me, I would probably just wing it. It has been my experience that boats - especially ones in that size range - are not looked at that closely. It is only wide for a short distance near the windshield. It is not as though you are trailering your house down the road.

Just stay to the right if you have to go through a toll plaza.

Have fun!!
